Follow up from the RED Apple Bus Trips - to be done as a 1 Day Conference
The RED Apple Bus Trip has run for the last 12 years. During that time over 1400 teachers have been on the week long trip around innovative New Zealand schools. This makes it one of the longest running and most attended professional development programmes in New Zealand education. In the last few years there has been a request to do a followup 1 day conference. RED is pleased to announce that 2009 is the year this will take place. Eleven 1 day conferences are planned from Invercargill to the Bay of Islands to enable this to take place at a location near you.
The programme for the day will include a Keynote from a Bus Trip School presenting new developments within the school. Local schools that have participated in the bus tours will be asked to bring an update or the journey thus far from the time of their Bus Trip. A summary of the last 2 years of bus trip “gleanings” that participants have observed over the week will be shared to indicate current thinking and directions that schools are taking. The conference will conclude with an Education Seminar updating teachers on trends and new software and hardware development from Apple including the new iPod Touch and iPhone.
